The hover action and tooltip work together as a team. The button sparks engagement, while the tooltip smoothly guides your focus with timing and ease. On its own, the button feels flat, but paired with motion it becomes clear, friendly, and way more helpful.

On the plain version, the button works fine but doesn’t offer much guidance—it’s just… there. With the tooltip animation added, both functional and inviting. The button gives you the first nudge to engage, while the tooltip steps in like a friendly guide, pointing you exactly where you need to look. The smooth reveal and slight pause keep things from feeling rushed, almost like the design is taking a breath with you. Together, the button and tooltip show how motion can do more than decorate—it can guide, clarify, and make the whole experience feel a little more human.

These progress buttons all use a dark green fill but in different ways—horizontal, text-flip, and even a 3D perspective. The 3D style feels perfect for longer tasks like paperwork, while the simpler versions work for quick actions. Originally built with modernizr and classie, I rebuilt them with GSAP for smoother motion.

These buttons take progress feedback in a few directions. Each one uses a dark green fill to signal progression, but in different styles: one flows horizontally across the text, another shrinks and has no text as it fills, and the third leans into a 3D perspective that feels a bit more dimensional. That last one could easily fit a longer process, like completing paperwork, while the flatter styles feel right for quicker tasks. The original concept came from Codrops’ progress button set, which showcased flat and 3D styles where the button itself doubles as the progress indicator.
